ABOUT THE SCHEMES

As an incubator for the development of arts and technology (Arts Tech), the East Kowloon Cultural Centre (EKCC) is committed to promote Arts Tech. We will support artistic creation by arts practitioners and technology professionals so as to identify new emerging trends in the arts, and seize the opportunities that come with innovation and technology. To achieve this, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department has launched a two-year Venue Partnership Scheme and Artist-in-Residence Pilot Scheme at the EKCC, aiming to foster partnerships between the EKCC, arts groups, organisations and individual artists with the objectives of enhancing the artistic image and character of the EKCC and its partners, enlarging the audience base, optimising the use of venue facilities, formulating venue-based marketing and promotion strategies, and promoting arts in the community as well as encouraging community involvement in arts development.
