One-to-one experience

Starting with recording the sounds of the landscape, absorb the contrasts of old and new in and around the East Kowloon Cultural Centre (EKCC), before capturing your hopes for this place in a letter.

As life slows down at dusk, take a moment to enjoy a cup of coffee. Artist Santayana Li, a member of the Artist-in-Residence of EKCC artist team led by artist Ivanhoe Chun Ho Lam, will begin by documenting the sounds of the space as you walk into this new landmark that blends history with modernity, and memories with new beginnings.

The remnants of the past intertwine with the pulse of the present, allowing us to capture that unique contrast together. We invite you to transform your aspirations for this place into a letter to share with us. Through writing, let’s reflect on the past, look forward to the future, and feel the changes and hopes of this land.
